Hello and Welcome to the first Episode of Lexha Talks : GOD
I felt the need to tell you why I think turning to God is the best decision someone could ever make.
As human beings, we all have a void, whether we want to admit it or not. Since Adam and Eve committed in Eden the original sin that caused separation from God who is the "water" that we need to live, humanity is condemned with a void. A oid so big that we can't even figure out its nature.
As human beings we are "eternally" unsatisfied so we can only be satisfied by what is Eternal.
But the problem is we try to fill this huge eternal void with little temporary things.
We use relationships, drugs, alcohol, sex, technology and sometimes even food or other counterfeits to try to fill this "God sized hole."
Those things provide an ephemeral satisfaction but as I said earlier, they don't last so becausewe want more we get addicted to empty stuff and the more we try to get satisfied, the more we start to realize that often times we get more frustrated.
Before I go further, I want to make things clear : I am not here to make anyone feel bad or act like I know better I just want to share the love of God.
Whether you believe it or not, I've experienced this. I've tried sinful practices to try to take those ugly feelings that I felt much too soon away but at the end of the day it brought me nothing but sadness, fear, anger, doubt and insecurity.
And all of a sudden, I remembered why Jesus died.
To free us from sin
Not only are we forgiven but we have the opportunity to have a relationship with God who has loved us with an everlasting love.
It was like I was hearing the Gospel for the first time (which is funny because I've been Christian since Day 1) and it was wonderful.
Now, we have the opportunity to restore the connection with God that humanity has lost in Eden. Jesus died to remind us that we don't have to turn to placebos to fill that God sized hole.
Because we can actually put God in it.
All we have to do is to put our faith in Him, give Him full access to the throne of our heart and let him operate into our life.
And once God is here, we have joy, peace and more that what we can ever imagine.
Our life doesn't become perfect but we have a place to go when we feel bad and that my friend is the best news you could ever receive.
